  • This is a non-paid 5 day training, conducted on site at hiring hotels. Drug testing is required. No felony convictions.

Targeted Local Hire Program

The City of Los Angeles seeks to connect all Angelenos to employment opportunities, including those who may face barriers to employment. The Targeted Local Hire Program is an effort to help under-served and under-employed populations find an alternative pathway to rewarding Civil Service careers with the City of Los Angeles. This program creates a unique opportunity for individuals to enter into Civil Service via an alternative pathway. Candidates will receive on-the-job training and complete an assessment period before transitioning to civil service employment.

Ready 2 Work Orientation Description

The LABWC hosts two Ready to Work Orientations: "Leadership Development Through Power Building" & "Apprenticeship Readiness Orientation" on Saturdays.

These events feature experts, tradesmen, and information about employment opportunities from the Public, Service, and Construction sectors.
